Good luck! Our routes across the country were simimlar though not exactly the same (you miss McAllen and you hit El Paso…do you miss Austin and Boulder as well? I never made it to Tuscon though it was an option….Let’s put it this way…If I have to leave L.A. due to bankruptcy, may I stop in Tuscon for a night on the way to Boulder?
I hope you watched No Country For Old Men, Kalifornia, U-Turn and Way of the Gun before taking the trip. Apparently every motel in Texas is just a front for drug deals and mobsters. Sleep tight!
